Patent Associate or Patent Agent - Seattle

The global law firm of K&L Gates seeks to hire a midlevel or senior Patent Associate or Patent Agent to join their dynamic IP Procurement practice in the Seattle office. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of patent prosecution experience in a law firm setting. Admission to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and a degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Physics is required. This position will focus on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in electrical, software, medical device, and mechanical fields, but will also include some licensing and intellectual property due diligence support.  Candidates must have substantial experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications, and be self-starters who possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team. We require strong academic credentials, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing the highest quality client service.
