John Tymczyszyn, Legislative Director

John Tymczyszyn is a third generation Washingtonian, Navy Veteran, civil rights and military employment rights attorney. After graduating from Bellevue High School he graduated with B.S. in Aerospace from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and reported to Naval Officer Candidates School in September 2001. John served as a pilot Naval Officer from 2001-2009, rising to the rank of Lieutenant.  He attended the Seattle University School of Law and served in the criminal prosecution division of the City of Everett and then as an associate attorney at a high profile private criminal defense law firm in Washington State.  He is an accredited Attorney by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and his law firm, John T Law, PLLC, is certified by the Washington State DAV as a Veteran Owned Business. He represents members of the military, national guard and reserves in employments rights and employment discrimination cases under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA). He has been awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, honorable discharge and worked in the US House of Representatives on Veterans issues.
