The City of Olympia Municipal Court is accepting applications for contract public defender.  The City is hiring four public defenders with the contract beginning January 1, 2015.  Applicants must be a member in good standing with the WA State Bar Association with a minimum of two years criminal law experience, preferably in a Municipal or District Court with public defense experience.  Contract period runs from January 1, 2015 thru December 31, 2015, with an option to renew.  The monthly salary is $5,000.  Public Defenders must be able to meet caseload standards and certifications.  Public defenders work closely with the Public Defense Coordinator.
