Washington State Veterans Bar Association Endorses Josh Arritola for State Representative

Seattle, Washington – October 16, 2014: Washington State Veterans Bar Association (WSVBA) announced today that it is endorsing Josh Arritola for State Representative in the 4th Legislative District, Position 2.  Mr. Arritola has demonstrated a strong commitment to veteran's issues and policies that advocate improving the lives of Washington State's 650,000 veterans.

Mr. Arritola attended the University of Washington Air Force ROTC program.  Upon graduation in June of 2003, Mr. Arritola was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant into the United States Air Force.  Lt. Arritola served the majority of his military career while assigned to Eielson Air Force Base in North Pole, Alaska, as the Officer in Charge of the 354th Munitions Flight and later as a Flight Line Operations Officer for the 355th Fighter Aircraft Wing.  Mr. Arritola received an honorable discharge in 2006.

Since his military service Mr. Arritola has demonstrated a true entrepreneurial, can-do attitude, and his personal commitment to the Veterans community.  Mr. Arritola is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Haploos, Inc., a consulting and management firm that provides service in the energy sector.  In interviewing for the endorsement of the WSVBA, Arritola stated, “at my company we put a major emphasis on hiring veterans.  Over 2/3rds of my employees are veterans.  I will continue to make it a priority to hire veterans.  They are absolutely my most valuable employees.”

"I'm honored to receive the endorsement of the Washington State Veterans Bar Association," said 4th Legislative District candidate Josh Arritola.  "Through their efforts, the WSVBA is an invaluable ally in advocating for the 650,000 veterans of Washington State. The Spokane region is dependent upon our military and we support our veterans and service men and women.  I look forward to working with the WSVBA to improve the lives of my fellow veterans and service-members in our community and across the State of Washington.”

The WSVBA believes in Mr. Arritola's personal commitment to protect veterans' post-military service transition assistance, education, and access health care.  In light of the fact that the United States Air Force Base at Fairchild is Spokane County's largest single site employer, Josh Arritola is an exciting candidate who has brought both military and real life business experience to this race.  The Washington State Veterans Bar Association has endorsed his candidacy and I hope the military and veterans community in Spokane County will follow suit,” said, WSVBA board member Thomas Jarrard.
